If a guy's been going out with a girl for a solid year, does he HAVE TO buy her an anniversary gift? Or, is

this just something that girls do because you like to shop and give things to people? I don%26#039;t expect her to give me anything and would actually feel weird if she did...especially if it%26#039;s something stupid like flowers. Is the guy a jerk if he doesn%26#039;t get her a gift?

No you don%26#039;t have to buy her a anniversary gift.....It would be very romantic of you to do so....It would let your girl know that she is someone special to you and is appreciate by you.....This kind of thing is important to a girl.....You are right about it being some thing girls do......We give gifts to show our appreciation.......
Reply:well if the girl give the guy a gift. then yeah that is kind of being a jerk cuz she got him a gift and he didnt. but if she didnt give him a gift then u dont have to give her a gift if u dont want to. but it all depends on how u celebrate ur aniversery, my bf gets me a gift and i give him a gift so it really isnt weird. so yeah it would be weird if u dont get her gift in ur own way.

If she%26#039;s not expecting anything from you I think you should get something small like some flowers and a card or something simple and sweet. If you think she is expecting you to get her something it would be harder so, you might want to take that small simple gift and stretch it out a little more like add a stuffed animal and take her out to dinner and well waste a little more money. LOL = %26gt;

Reply:my bf didnt we were fighting at the time lol, but i think its a really nice gesture, make or buy her a card telling how special she is, its always nice and give her a bunch of flowers. shel feel loved and y woldnt u want ur gf to feel that way. it doesnt cost u much so y not make sure she knows how u feel

Reply:Have to, No, no one should feel compelled to do things that is not from their heart. But IF you want her to continue feeling special then it would be a very nice touch to get her a gift to celebrate how long you have been dating. And she might not get you a gift but some type of gesture is always appropriate to remind people of just how unique they are to us. I hope this helps
